Wood Wall Tiles by Everitt & Schilling Tile

Hi guys! I'm back from a relaxing weekend. Weather was lovely and still is. I'm so happy and energized about that. How was your weekend?

You know what else makes me happy? Wood. And just recently I found really great wood wall tiles by Everitt & Schilling Tile - so I want to talk about that today.

Wood wall tiles can be a fabulous way to add some interest and depth to any space. They can warm up a room, add a pattern element, inject some texture or allow for a unique visual appeal. They can make a room feel rustic, rich, elegant and even funky, depending on your design choices. It's a different way to deal with walls, one that is not highly common and therefore, quite original, in my opinion.

The tiles you see here are made from re-claimed barn wood and up-cycled hardwood by Everitt & Schilling Tile. They can be used for entire walls or decorative detailing, backslashes or headboards, whatever your design needs. I find them so beautiful, especially the thin horizontal type, like in the first image above.

Have you ever given any thought to wood wall tiles?

See you next time,
Xx. Holly.

  3. Yup. Love wood tiles. We did a wood tile in our restaurant, El Camino's, a few years ago. Looks fantastic! Love the top pic, especially!

  4. I don't think I've ever even considered wood tiling. Very interesting indeed.

I think I would opt to keep it simple as some of the images above are rather busy. I can see it form patterns like mosaic but that will very much depend on the rest of the room.

Very thought provoking. I also like its reclaimed.... great find.

    1. Thanks Tina! It is a different way to deal with walls. Could be great, as you say, depends on the space. Reclaimed is a major plus.

Hi Holly...i also love wood. Instant warmth. I wonder about tiles in a bathroom or as a back splash though. Are they more prone to water damage? Certainly, they'd be protected with a sealer but the constant vapor? If this isn't a factor, then sign me up. I really LOVE the last image too.

  6. The tiles are coated with a ceramic finish - it helps keep them from having issues in wet areas. The only place we don't recommend them obviously is the shower. We designed the coating so that they could be used in sink and tub areas. Glad that people like the way they look!

  7. Yes, I love this look! I've been seeing these types of wood installations in really cool, hip places.
We have a childrens clothing catalog here in the States, Crew Cuts (by J.Crew, do you get it?). They built a backdrop of wood to photograph the kids. It had a nice result.
