The weather has been quite nice these days, pretty mild, signs of spring approaching. So before winter leaves us for good up here, I thought I should share some winter inspired interior colour palettes I created. Remember the ones
I did for autumn? Same concept but for winter. I paired some winter scenes with some interior images and pulled the colours out of them. It's a fun game I like to do. You can expect one for spring too :) Enjoy!
Are you sad that winter is leaving us soon? Or are you glad?
I was glad until I made these colour palettes, ha! I'm getting a bit nostalgic now ...
Xx. Holly.
I love playing this kind of colour - mood - interiors - games, too. Very much! Actually I can't wait for the spring to come, but you're right seeing your colour palettes makes me doubt - but only a little bit ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Lysann
Hi Lysann! It is a fun game, isn't it? And yes, although there is something nice about winter, I am totally ready for spring :) Bring it on! Have a lovely day too Xx.
DeleteActually, I was thinking the same. Part of me is really happy spring is/has arrived and part of me feels still in cocoon mode and wanting to nestle down. Hmmm what to do?
ReplyDeleteI love your calm and relaxed choices of interiors and your colour palettes evoke that sense of 'peace and tranquility'. Perfect ending to a season x
Hi Tina! Thanks for your lovely comments, both here and at the autumn post too ;) I would have preferred to do this at the beginning of the season, but I didn't have time, so yes, I though instead to end the season with it. Glad you enjoyed! Xx.
DeleteI'll be sad to see winter go Holly... tho it has been mild here in London, so I think it has gone :-( Having said that we didn't have a very cold winter anyway. Great inspirations!

Great set of schemes. We haven't really had a winter here in New York and I kind of miss it - I wish that we would have had some days in the park with snow covering the ground. It feels like it has all gone by without the season really being here. With that said I am looking forward to spring and think that a couple of your schemes could be adapted for spring too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to meet you as well - I love these international blogging connections. thanks so much for stopping by, and I really enjoy reading through your blog, love your ideas and posts!
Thanks Anna and Gerard! We haven't had much of a winter either, here in Germany ... hmmm. Not that I'm complaining. What I like most about winter is the grey-ness, not so much the cold or snow - although if I were in the mountains, I'd take the snow wholeheartedly. It's just so appropriate there :)
ReplyDeleteAnna, it's really nice to meet you too and you are right, these international blogging connections are awesome! Your blog is very inspiring and I'm so glad to add it to my reads :)
Xx.
How odd, I thought I already left a comment on this post. Glad I second checked. ;) I love these color mood boards you put together. Well, this weekend it's suppose to hit the 80's, which is warm here in the States. Like it or not, Spring is definitely on its way. And, we really didn't have much of a Winter. Feeling nostalgic is a good way to put it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Theresa! I love making these seasonal mood boards. Glad you liked. It seems like not many of us had a "real" winter this year ... hmmm. Probably not a great sign ...
ReplyDeleteSince I published this post, the nostalgia has completely dissolved - enter Spring!
:)
Sweet idea! I love all seasons and I am always redecorating our dining table accordingly. I am over winter now though and so much looking forward to spring. I cannot get enough of little spring blossoms, which are awaking in every corner of our flat. So special being able to watch them grow : )) I cannot wait for your spring mood boards and for you to come back to Berlin!!! XOX Janie
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment here :) Blossoms are really such an inspiring thing - rebirth, growth, process, strength ... just wonderful.
DeleteI'll be sure to send you a message next time I'm in Berlin :)
Xx.
Great post! No not sad I love spring!
