Moodboard Mondays - a study / guest room

Hello everyone and welcome to the week.  Today, I present a moodboard I put together for someone's guest room that is to double as a study.  Their main concern was the colour scheme.

We discussed that the room needed to be welcoming, comfortable and neutral but not sleepy. A study is a place where books as well as papers concerning the household are kept, where one would sit and occasionally engage in organizational tasks, or cozy up to a book in the late afternoon. But because this room is also used as a guest room, it needs to be comfortable to any visiting guest and not too office-like. The colours chosen for this room are wedgewood blue, white, brown and light beigy/pinky greys. I imagine a light warm pinky/grey on the walls, white mouldings and door frames with darker grey curtains framing the windows. Accessorizing with lots of white and splashes of blue will really contrast the surrounding greys and breath life into the room, giving it a friendly feel. Of course, rich wooden furniture (but not too dark) is cozy but demands respect, making it so appropriate for a study. The blue is calm, comfortable and trustworthy. Brown is intellectual and natural. The soft background greys are neutral and help to really pop out the blues and whites and give the room jut the right amount of liveliness.

What do you think?  Is this a concept you might use in your study/guest room?
