Basically, they provide a platform for designers of interior products and potential buyers/funders to come together to turn ideas into reality. The best part is, TheCreator.Me is really involved in the production of prototypes, marketing, manufacturing and shipping. All the while, designers retain IP rights to their designs at all times.
"Driven by the community and under our careful and passionate supervision, products are brought to market in 3 stages: DesignIT, where the community collaborates on ideas; BackIT, where 1st Edition viable products are crowd-funded; and BuyIT, where consumers can purchase successive batches of unique products". - TheCreator.Me
Designers are happy because they have somewhere to showcase their ideas (for free!) with a good chance for funding. Then, someone is there to help turn their project into a real product that can reach buyers and retailers around the world. And they get royalties well above industry average.
Consumers are happy because they can become proud owners of original and unique design products that will get delivered right to their door. Plus, how nice does it feel to promote and support good ideas and creative people? You know you love it.
Here are a few of my favourite designs:

Oslo - side table series by Cerocuadrado |

Peg - wall clock by Alte Tveit |
![]() |
Pillhead Lamps - floor and table lamps by a+z Design |

Withered Leaf - chair by Tuva Helum |
And there are plenty more where those came from. It feels like a happy community over at TheCreator.Me. Anyone can send in their ideas and anybody can support them. If you like that, you may also like Kickstarter - similar concept but for any type of creative project, not just furniture.

Well folks, on the topic of supporting and promoting each other... The very lovely and colourful home of my friend Tina (from colouriving) was featured in Heart Home Magazine. It's in their new Spring issue, hot off the virtual press just hours ago and your eyes are in for a real treat. Plus, the story of how Tina's home got to be so awesome is really quite inspiring. She's just such a talented lady and I'm so lucky to know her.
Well, off to browse through the rest of Heart Home Magazine now. From the glimpses I took so far, it promises to be filled with good stuff.
See you later.
Xx. Holly.
idea perfection & off to browse Tina's home among other beauties on Heart home Magazine!

Doing the same here Iro :) And off to your studio on wheels in a bit. See you there later Xx.
DeleteReally great idea and website, so thanks for sharing. Promoting and supporting eachother is the best we can do, as we all will win and maybe sometimes we even meet people, who became friends through it. Will head over now and have a look on both the website and of course the Heart Home Magazine, too.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a sunny afternoon there near the Baltic Sea ;) Bis bald!

Thanks for stopping by here Lysann and leaving your lovely comments. Much appreciated.
DeleteI love blogging because I can choose the things I like to talk about and hope that it inspires others, gives them ideas or interesting leads. We never know who we can affect, who we can help, without even knowing. It's kind of mystical like that. And sometimes we meet wonderful people at just the right time who help us directly - wink, wink. That's pretty great too!
Bis Bald Xx.
Good morning. I am so exhausted... what a day! Thank you for sharing the most important part of it with me. It was truly special!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea this is. I love Kickstarter and I am so supportive of all these collaborations where it's a win win situation. I will have a closer look at their site tomorrow. How did you discover them? Just like that? I love the lamps and that chair. Gorgeous.
I think crowd sourcing is so cool and makes so much sense!
You are such a computer whizz kid. I'm in awe of your digital skills.
Thank you so much for including my little 'celebration' in your post. That's very generous and kind of you. Can't wait to have you come and stay!! x
Crowd sourcing does seem like a wonderful concept. I hope to be able to support some good ideas soon. It's definitely something I'd like to get into a bit.
DeleteI found TheCreator.Me because they followed me on Twitter. So I went to check out their profile and site and I was instantly happy to find them. Love Twitter for that.
It's my pleasure to include your 'celebration' - I'm just so happy about it too! And yes, I'm looking forward to a London visit! Maybe this summer...
Have a great day Tina Xx.
