Faktura - minimal and expressive furniture

I came across these great tables a while ago and I think it's time to share.

They are LA and NY coffee/side tables by Faktura.  I was struck by the simplicity and intrigued by the creativity.  They're really awesome tables and pay tribute to two amazing cities.  If they had one for Berlin, it would so be mine!  So I went over to Faktura's website to check out some of their other stuff.  Here's just some of the great things I found.

Turns out, the designer behind all of this is Miron Lior.  I love the clean lines and the skinny look of his pieces.  These are definitely modern, minimal pieces but they are so full of expression - not boring in any way. Faktura manufactures and markets these products and also offers custom furniture design. Maybe I'll contact them one day about a Berlin tribute table, lol! I've added Faktura to my favourite shops list.

  1. Hello there!

Still in Greece with our snail slow connection & old p.c... oh well!

Really love these rocking stool & bench!
And then loving typography, these letters as table legs caught my attention!
NY & LA : glamorous, making a statement while keeping minimal lines. Nice & clever combo.

I also love the setting of the 3rd picture with the kitty. Exposed bricks, wooden floor, grey couch, just great!
Still rather unsure about that coffee table... does it give a feeling of instability or is it just me??!

Altogether clever ideas, having such a hard time resonating with & relating to the prices though :(
Ooops, I guess my family's crisis is all over the place. I don't know if I would ever decide to "invest" money on such pieces, even when money will hopefully one day again be no issue.

O.k... then all I have to do is think of Eames & Ligne Roset and such and then pinch me to see whether I mean what I just said ;)

Warm regards from charming, pretty butthen oh so messy Greece!
Back home in Germany tonight, xoxo

  2. You're coming back tonight! Great news ;)

These items are quite interesting. I'm really attracted to them somehow. I also love the styling of that Angles coffee table pic (I'm sure you can see why I included it ... with the cat and all). But now that you mention it, the table does seem a little unsteady. I think a rug under it would help. Although if you go here :

you will maybe have a different impression ... from a different angle the table looks totally different, right?

ah yes, the beauty of perspective... (on that note, of perspective I mean, stay tuned for today's post...hehehe - it's fun when things tie in to each other).

Have a great flight back xoxoxo

  3. Thank's!

flight back was smooth... the plane took off in sunset time... it was just magical... completely sunk into the colors and beauty (lalalala...)

Thank's for the other picture link, too.
It certainly looks so much better!
Still, would like that a coffee table creates a feeling of stability from every angle.
Just my own thoughts & choices ;)

Contributed thoroughly to your new post in the comments section! As busy days are ahead though, it might take some time until next time I do so.

Enjoy your day, love the sunshine :) xoxo
