Welcome Monday.
This weekend has left me feeling resolved somehow, since I came to some clear decisions in my mind. I feel confident but in a quiet, honest way. I am proud of my sometimes gentle nature which keeps my strength humble.
The mood board above tries to capture those feelings and translate them to the context of an interior space. The mood board speaks of a solid breeze, soft in nature but strong in will. Is that a good feeling for an interior?
How is your mood these days?
Xx. Holly.
Hello there, lovely collage my dear, both in terms of colors & item choices.
ReplyDeleteSolid breeze sounds so contradictory to me, yet I like how you put them together & knowing you even a little makes me clearly understand why you chose them.
About the question you posed, I'd say that the feeling should be defined by those who'd be inhabiting it.
And then off course how it also affects you. How does this make you feel? Does it represent you?
I personally like a lot modern lines with romantic touches, dark greys with shades of pink. Almond & cherry blossoms are absolute favorites, too.
Thank you for sharing how you are feeling with us here. I think that these days my mood has been quiet as well, in my effort to deal with & digest all that is currently on the plate.
Happy Monday to you + happy new month of course.
Hugs & take care! xoxo
Hi Iro! You are right that it is a contradictory statement. I think we need opposing forces to keep balance, to keep us right in the middle.
DeleteI think my first question there wasn't worded properly ... I think I was more interested in knowing if other people could relate to this as an interior mood. Oh, well - no problem, anyhow I totally agree with you that it's about the individual inhabiting the space :)
Glad you liked my mood board and happy you are feeling quiet ... so much better than feeling internally hectic when there's so much going on, right?
Happy April to you too Xx.
I am glad you have resolved things in your head. As I said before, a decision is better than no decision! Well done, my love. I can feel that you're happy with your decision and that's the important part.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I like your gentle nature.... x
My mood is resolved and I have clarity at the moment which I'm hugely greatful for. I am in a good place right now. xx
Hi Tina! Thanks for sharing your mood, glad you are feeling well - a perfect mood for spring.
DeleteYou couldn't be more right that a decision is better than no decision. Since my decision to stay in Rostock, I've appreciated my surroundings much more and I feel so much calmer. I am so happy about that.
Xx.
Hello Holly! Well my mood is surprisingly good for a Monday and after 12 hours spent in the office. I guess it's my evening cup of green tea with aloe and the joy of blogging that keeps me balanced and happy. And good blog reads - like your blog!
ReplyDeleteOh Igor, now I'm blushing ;)
Delete12 hours! and you are feeling well ... that makes me very happy to hear. You must still be on a high from your fabulous Scandinavian adventure - what a pleasure to read your blog post about it.
So what's with the aloe? Do you buy it in a liquid form and squirt it into your tea, or is it just part of the green tea, like dried aloe leaves? Sounds interesting.
Xx.
Love your post and I love spring! ;)
ReplyDeleteHege x
Hi Hege! What a positive and confident comment! Love it.
DeleteThanks for stopping by here ;)
Xx.
I was drawn to your moodboard immediately and liked it very much. And when I read your words I realised why. It's a very good feeling, stay with it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicola!! I think it is a good mood, and maybe worth remembering for inspiration for my future interior space :) Glad you like it and that it spoke to you somehow.
DeleteXx.
Hi Holly. Great theme for a mood board! The board feels as though it has a solid background. I really like that aspect.
ReplyDeleteSo Rostock is where P is learning to fly? I'm really pleased that you've come to a decision... but kind of sad that you won't be in Berlin (maybe cos that's where I'd love to be). I'm personally not feeling too solid at the moment. Having to work some stuff out in my head about Walnut Grey and its direction. Oh well...
Take care xx
Yup, Rostock it is. It's snowing/raining here today. Totally miserable.
DeleteI'd always rather be in Berlin too! Luckily, when the training is over (mid april - ish??) we will at least get to spend a little time in Berlin together before heading back to Frankfurt, which will be really nice! Coffee Heroes still on my list ;)
I have faith that you will work out the things you need to. I hope you are not putting too much pressure on yourself so that your mind can stay open.
Xx.
I would say that's a good feeling for an interior...Well, it's actually a good disposition to have, as well. I've had something gnawing at me for the last couple of weeks that I can't seem to shake or put my finger on. Normally when I get this feeling, it will last for a couple of days...I usually just flow with it (rather than ebb) and let it pass. This one is sticking around though. I would love to have your mindset right now - Feeling confident in a quiet, honest way.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, it is a nice feeling :)
DeleteBut feelings and moods are fleeting, and always changing. You can be sure your mood will change because that's one thing we can be sure of. Change. Until then, I think you have the right strategy. Sort of how I deal with these feelings too.
Xx.
Holly, my dear,
ReplyDeleteI personally love your moodboard as well as your thoght behind it. It really has a kind of a solid basis enchanced with a fresh breeze may it comes from the sea or just the spring ;) The colors and materials you choosed are complement one another in really great way.
I'm happy to hear, that you're feeling great with your decision to stay.
The region, where you are right and its place in the middle of nowhere can be really challenging sometimes. {I know, what I'm speaking about ;)}
But sometimes we just need a calm environment to calm down our thoughts and to be able to hear our inner voice again.
So, enjoy your time there.
Hope you'll have too some sunny spring days, as it always makes things a bit nicer, doesn't it?
Xx.
Thank you Lysann! I'm glad you like my mood board, and thanks for the words of encouragement. I think you are right, some quiet time is what I need right now, even if I didn't know it.
DeleteThe sun is shining brightly here at the moment. Hope it is for you too :)
Xx.
Hi Holly - your posts are always so personal and go deep, I find it very courageous. I love the typification 'solid sea breeze' and don't find it contradictory at all! Sea breezes wax and wane but are pretty constant when they blow. Go with the flow my dear : ) x
ReplyDeleteHi Ursula! I'm touched by your words, thank you.
Delete"Go with the flow", just what I needed to hear at this moment :)
Xx.
