Design Elements - shape and form

Experimenting with shape and form can result in some striking effects and really enhance your space.  Of course, it's always great when the structure of the space itself gives you something on this level - a curved wall, different levels, a recessed ceiling, amazing moulding, exposed beams ... you get it. But furnishings and accessories play an equally important role as well.  This living room clearly depicts exactly that:

... squares, rectangles, circles, curves, lines ... oh my! Yet thanks to the neutral colour palette, oh so serene. Great use of shape and form as an interior design element.  What do you think?

  1. I think that I'm in love!
... have been ever since I saw this space!
Loving the serene atmosphere, the way shapes work well with one another, from sharp edges to calm spheres and curves...

I love the choice of materials as much as the tranquil tones... a fabulous space in all aspects!

when I start imagining its possible cost... big sigh again! shouldn't everyone who cares about beautiful design be able to afford such places?
    just saying ;)

and now back to reality... there is a little... Penguin cave to be designed and dreaming of such spaces is making it hard... very very hard!

well, we do own a lamp similar to the ones pictured, that's a good start, right?

yes, in this positive mood I'll say goodbye to these pages for now and be looking forward to return for more :)

    xo
